Editorial Policy
Last updated:
This policy applies to 4KM Tech articles about small-team IT and MSP operations, software delivery and support, e-commerce exception handling, technology buying and the named products or projects we examine. The aim is to give readers enough operational detail to understand a workflow, check a claim and decide what applies to their own team.
Accuracy
Operational guides are checked so that the roles, handovers, exception states and control steps described are internally consistent. That includes subjects found across our current library, such as user onboarding and offboarding, access reviews, maintenance windows, release support, failed order imports, stock-sync exceptions and fulfilment problems.
Where an article gives a market figure, product detail or time-sensitive technology claim, we check it against an identifiable source and state the relevant date or limitation. We do not turn an assumption, promotional statement or isolated example into a general claim.
Originality
4KM Tech does not republish or spin another publisher’s article. Our workflow guides, technology market studies and examinations of named projects are written for this site. External material may provide evidence for a specification, statistic or attributed fact, but the selection, explanation and operational analysis must be our own.
Editorial Independence
4KM Tech's editorial content is independent. We do not accept payment, gifts, products or services in exchange for editorial mentions or favourable coverage. Where we reference an external organisation or service editorially, it is because we believe the reference is genuinely useful to our readers — not because of any commercial relationship.
If advertising is displayed on this site, it is clearly separate from editorial content. Editorial decisions are not influenced by advertising relationships. See our Advertising Disclosure for full details.
Content Standards
Before publication, each article is reviewed against questions that match the type of work 4KM Tech publishes:
- For an operational guide, are the owner, trigger, handover, exception and completion evidence clear?
- For a buying or market article, are comparisons, dates, figures and limitations supported and distinguishable from opinion?
- For a named product or project, does the article separate observable features from inference about how the work was produced?
- Can a small IT, software, MSP or e-commerce team tell which part of the guidance applies to its own workflow?
- Is the wording original, proportionate and free from unsupported performance or outcome claims?
An article that cannot answer the relevant questions is revised, narrowed to what the evidence supports, or not published.
Corrections Policy
If a reader identifies a possible error in a workflow step, product detail, market figure, source attribution or other factual statement, we will:
- Review the correction request promptly
- If the correction is valid, update the article and note the correction clearly within the article
- Respond to the person who identified the error to confirm the action taken
To submit a correction request, email us at info@4km-tech.com with the article title, the passage in question and the correction you believe is needed.
